Of my own volition, I challenged myself to come up with a fresh logo for the Baked Potato Jazz Club in Studio City, CA. I wanted to clarify the personality of the venue, increase legibility, and establish the archetypes of “jester” and “everyman.” I started by researching competitors, compiling a mood board, and creating potential customer profiles. Here are a few of the logo iterations I explored based on the research I conducted.
